A couple of shots of the "Poor Farm" cemetery. This has been used for many years to inter people with no family or means of paying for a burial. Most of the simple wooden crosses have no names, it is sad to think that lives have ended with no visible record of these people. These are just photos from the walk through.
The walk through took place on Feb. 9, 2001 at 8:00 pm. One roll of Kodak 200 film was used but nothing unusual turned up. The evening was warm and windy. There was two spots where the smell of roses could be sensed. One was the grave of a baby less than a year old, my wife said she could feel the baby reach out to her and the other was in the opposite end of the graveyard. Both areas will be investigated as soon as we get a break in the weather again.
Click on Photos below for a hi res jpg. Daylight walk through on Feb. 18, sunny day, temp in the 60's. After looking at this photo I thought this to be sun glare, although I was standing in the edge of a shaded spot. This is one of the spots where there was a strong smell of roses, this scent was almost strong enough to take your breath. There are no flowers on any of the graves except for a few plastic ones, most graves are only marked with unlabeled wooden crosses. Film that was used was Kodak Max 100.
Then I ran across this shot. Taken of the same area but from the opposite side of the graveyard. Notice that the sun is now at my back (shadow's on the ground) and again the mist. This mist didn't show up to the unaided eye, only through the camera did it show up. One complete roll of 24 exposure film was shot and these two shots were the only ones that had this effect. I had forgotten the emf meter on this walk through so I didn't have any readings. A complete investigation is coming later this year. |
